Project Description
Feasibility studies for obtaining AFD financing and preparing the sanitation intervention programme in Commune IV of Niamey.
Provided services by Urbaconsulting
Conducting a review of the sector, users and wastewater systems, including wastewater reuse; identifying the most suitable and sustainable organisation scenario for the sector; drafting appraisal documents using AFD procedures, and developing the intervention programme.
- Conducting surveys of service users, operators, financial institutes and institutions to identify current constraints
- Analysing the value-added sectors (biogas, irrigation, compost, fish farming, etc.) and potential demand
- Identifying organisational scenarios and defining a multi-criteria evaluation
- Organising and facilitating participatory structuring sessions to select the preferred scenario
- Assessing the feasibility of the preferred scenario and associated action plan
- Drafting appraisal and programme documents for the AFrench Agency of Development
